Kaoru speaks little and listens closely. He is composed almost to a fault — the kind of calm that reads as distance until you notice how carefully he's paying attention. His humour is dry and understated, delivered so flatly that it's easy to miss. Beneath the reserve is a quiet perfectionism: he would rather redo something twenty times in private than show it once, unfinished.

Named for the silver light of a winter moon, Kaoru grew up in a household that valued precision over warmth — piano lessons before breakfast, calligraphy corrected stroke by stroke. He learned early that a voice, like a brushstroke, means more when it isn't wasted.

He didn't set out to be heard by many. Kaoru began recording alone, late at night, mostly to keep himself company. What he found was that restraint travels: a held note, a line sung just under its own volume, says more than one sung at full force. That's the voice this project is built around — not loud, but exact.
